White River Credit Union is owned by its members and run by a board of directors you elect. The protection of our members' privacy and the safekeeping of confidential information is of utmost concern to the Credit Union. It is the Credit Union's intent to comply with all applicable laws and regulations concerning the treatment of both member and non-member information, and educate our members as to their privacy rights under law. This policy outlines the purposes for which member information will be collected and released outside of the Credit Union. Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
Information about your transactions with us or others;
Information about your use of our web site through cookies; and
Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.
We are committed to providing you with competitive products and services designed to meet your financial needs, which necessitates that we share information about you to complete your transactions and to provide you with certain financial opportunities. For your child's safety, we do not knowingly gather any personal information from your child on our web site www.whiterivercu.com, nor is our HomeTeller site designed or directed to use personal information from children under the age of 13 without containing verifiable consent from their parents. Should a child whom we know to be under the age of 13 send personal information to us, we will only use that information to respond directly to that child, seek parental consent or provide parental notice. We recognize that protecting your child's identity and online privacy is important. That responsibility rests with us and with you, the parent. Security Policy
White River Credit Union will never initiate a request for sensitive information via e-mail (i.e. Social Security number, Telephone Banking Pin, password or account numbers). If you receive an e-mail that requests this type of sensitive information, you should be suspicious of it and contact White River Credit Union to verify its authenticity.
